Suicide Rates Overview (1985-2016)

Suicide is one of the biggest challenges in healthcare β€” and one of the most invisible. According to the WHO, more than 700,000 people die by suicide every year.

This project started with a simple question: What can the data tell us about patterns and high-risk factors? Using a Kaggle dataset (27,000+ rows, 100+ countries), I built dashboards in Tableau and used Python for data cleaning and risk classification.

πŸ’‘ Key insight: High-income countries don't always have low suicide rates. Some of the poorest countries show surprising resilience.

Economic Impact of Cultural Events in Berlin

Master's Thesis Project (In Progress)

Berlin is famous for its cultural scene, but how much does it actually move the economy? This thesis analyzes the economic impact of cultural events (concerts, festivals, clubs) on local transportation and business activity.

I designed a mixed-methods approach combining primary data (surveys), secondary data (BVG public transport data), and simulated data (Stripe API test environment) to build an end-to-end analytical framework.

πŸ’‘ Key challenge: Combining real survey data with simulated transaction data to create a holistic view of economic impact.

Daily Minimum Temperatures Prediction

This project analyzed daily minimum temperatures across different years with the goal of predicting future temperatures using Machine Learning models like Linear Regression and Random Forest Regressor. This is important for sectors like agriculture, climate change studies, and urban planning.

I prepared the data by creating new features (season, day of the week, etc.) and compared two models. Based on performance metrics, I selected the best one.

πŸ€– What I learned: Models can always be improved with more data, more features, or better techniques. The real value is not just the prediction, but the ability to make decisions based on data.

More projects coming soon

I'm currently reviewing my work from my Master's and selecting the best pieces to showcase here.

My goal is to share projects that show not just what I did, but how I think and solve problems with data.
